The average day rate for Marketing remained virtually unchanged, increasing by just £1 to £347 per day (£43 per hour). In contrast, the top 10% saw a significant +13% rise year-on-year, with rates averaging £788 per day (£97 per hour).
Experience
Director roles showed a +4% year-on-year increase. Whilst the other experience levels showed a decrease, with Midweight roles showing the biggest decrease of -7% year-on-year.

Contract Length and Bookings
In 2024, Marketing experienced a -10% decrease in the average contract length, settling at 37 working days (just over 7 weeks). The top 10% contracts also saw a -5% decrease, averaging 79 working days (just under 16 weeks).
Midweight roles stood out with a -34% decrease in their contract lengths, with Lead and Senior also experiencing decreases. Director Roles however, saw a slight increase of +3% year-on-year.
The Marketing discipline experienced robust growth, witnessing a remarkable +41% year-on-year increase in bookings. Bookings remained steady throughout most of the year, with a slight dip in September followed by a gradual increase towards December.
Roles
Growth Hacker / Marketeer commanded the highest rate across the discipline averaging £766 per day (£96 per hour).
Skills
Marketing professionals with expertise in Marketing strategy, Marketing management, and Content strategy emerged as the top paid skills, highlighting their crucial role in driving brand growth and engagement in an increasingly digital landscape.
